Metisse is French for Mongrel. It also pays homage to the great motorcycle brand Rickman Metisse. Nomad Metisses are high performance commuters built around vintage road bike frames (and sometimes mountain bike frames). Each Metisse is a one of a kind, extra classy, hand crafted high performance bike tailored to its owner’s needs. And by employing existing frames and parts, they offer an environmentally superior alternative to all the mass market, Chinese mass produced new bikes.

Restored Vintage bikes
Over the years we have restored a few hundred bicycles, ranging from the1930s to the 2000s, road bikes, mountain bikes, BMX bikes, you name it. We are particularly knowledgeable about Vintage lightweight bikes from the 1960s – 90s. We handle all aspects of the restoration, from painting and chrome plating to sourcing vintage parts and building wheelsets.
We fabricate a number of furnishings, etc. from repurposed and salvaged bicycle components and other detritus. Every item is made to order and one of a kind.
