Trek’s first year of production was 1978 and for those first few years, their bikes were handcrafted and as good as anything else on the market. This 950 was their top model in 1980. It was fabricated with Columbus SL tubing and sported a complete Campagnolo Super Record groupset.
We bought the frame and fork at the Trexlertown swapmeet in 2010. We built it up for a customer to ride in the 2015 L’eroica Britania ride. Todd Eroh repainted the frame in original colors. We built it up using a complete 1980 date stamped Campagnolo Super Record groupset and Cinelli bars and stem.
