Lemond Poprad commuter

Crankset with outer chainring modified to be chain guard

Greg Lemond was the greatest American racer and the first American to win the Tour de France. When he retired in 1994, he started Lemond bicycles. The Lemond Poprad was a affordable and competitive cyclocross bike. The early, pre Trek models were built with Reynolds 853 tubing, the best steel tubing to be had.

We converted this 2004 Poprad into a daily commuter for Daniel. We powdercoated it and removed all graphics or indications of what the frame was. We built it up with a Shimano Ultegra 1×9 groupset and Nomad built wheelset.

The bike weighs under 19 lbs and has that fantastic Reynolds 853 ride quality.
