Repair and Service
We can service almost any bike. We have the experience and specialty tools and parts to repair the vintage and special bikes that the LBS is not able to handle. Weather its rebuilding Campagnolo shifters, re-lacing a wood rim wheel or rebuilding a Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub, we can do it right.
We aso service modern bikes and are well versed in everything from DI 2 electronic shifters to hydraulic disk brakes.
Vintage Restoration
We restore vintage and antique bicycles. We have experience with a broad range of bikes from 1930s Iver Johnsons to 1980s Pinerellos. We are particularly familiar with European vintage lightweights and post war British bikes. If you have an existing bike or want to buy one, we can work with you to select the bike develop the restoration plan acquire the parts and complete the restoration. Working with outside vendors we can provide repainting, chrome plating, etc.
Custom Built Bikes
We work with our customers to build a unique bike that’s just right for them and that works with their budget. Over the years Damon has built several hundred custom bikes. We build the bikes using a mix of new and used frames and parts. We’ve built everything from a fireman’s parade bike to carbon fiber framed racing bikes. We’re up for the challenge.
Wheel Building
We build custom hand-laced wheels, both for vintage restoration and for contemporary high performance bikes. . We have an inventory of vintage components and can also build wheels using customer provide components. Damon has built hundreds of wheelsets over the years.
Bike Maintenance Lessons
We offer one on one and small group hands-on bicycle maintenance and repair training classes. We offer classes from beginner to advanced. Everything from flat fixing and roadside repair to wheel building. We can also offer custom classes based on your interest. We do not have scheduled class times but plan them to your schedule.
