Mark asked Nomad to build a fast light commuter for his daily commutes as well as leisure rides in Atlanta, Ga.
We started with a 1998 Litespeed titanium road bike frame with a Lemond carbon fiber fork. We painted everything flat black to disguise the titanium and fool the bandits.
We built it up with a Shimano XT 1×10 drivetrain and Sram crank. We installed an SP9 dyno hub and concealed a modern LED lamp within the vintage “lucifer” brand headlamp. We topped it off with a Rudi Mayr restored Ideale saddle, Nomad built wheelset and a Planet Bike pannier rack. The bike weighs 19 lbs, rack and all and has that classy titanium bike ride.
