Austro Daimler Vent Noir Mixte

As found

Austro Daimler Puch was an large Austrian bicycle and motorcycle manufacturer who entered the US market in the late 70s at the tail end of the bike boom. Their Vent Noir models were very successful high end, high performance bikes. This 1978 Vent Noir Mixte has a frame made from Reynolds 531 butted tubing and featured a complete first generation Shimano Dura Ace groupset.

We converted this bike into a daily commuter for Minerva. The only original components retained were the frame, fork and seatpost. We installed a Shimano Deore 1×10 drivetrain, a Rudi Mayr restored Brooks B72 saddle, a Nomad built wheelset and some other choice bits to create a gorgeous high performance commuter
