Ed’s grandfather bought this childs bike home from Italy after serving in WWII as a gift for his daughter (Ed’s mom). The bike stayed in the family all these years but had deteriorated badly. Ed asked Nomad to restore it as a gift to his mom.
This bike is tiny, about right for a 3 year old yet its a legitamate and well made bike. Many parts look similar to standard post war components but are not – all the sizes and thread pitches were unique, even the tire size. hence replacement parts are not available.
V Twins in Oyster Bay re-chromed the frame, etc. We polished or refinished every part, even the nuts and bolts.
Its as good as new.
